The Australia continent, also known as the Oceania, has 14 countries. Oceania, the smallest of the seven continents, has a surface area of 8.6 million km² . Approximately 40 million people live on the Oceania.
Oceania has mostly island countries. Those outside Australia do not have a large area. Australia is the largest with 7.6 million km² and Nauru is the smallest country with 21 km² in Oceania.
